Brisbane’s Better Bookshops (BBB) is a cooperative venture between three independent bookstores working together to bring the world’s best authors to Brisbane. Members of Brisbane’s Better Bookshops are American Book Store, Avid Reader and Coaldrake’s.
Each of these three shops is a family-run, independent, community focused store. The people who own, run and work in the BBB stores are passionate about books and about authors. You can come to them with queries like ‘the last book I really enjoyed was by (nominate your own favourite and possibly obscure author) do you have anything else in a similar vein?’ and they will delight in matching you with the perfect book for your library.
