Richard Dawkins has written about evolution before, but none of his books have discussed the supporting evidence that evolution actually happened.  The Greatest Show on Earth comes at a critical time: systematic opposition to the idea of evolution is now flourishing as never before, especially in America, where a recent survey conducted by Gallup revealed that 44% of the respondents believed that God created humans in their present form at some point within the last 10,000 years.
